About Me

Hillel is a happy go-lucky young man living in Indianapolis, Indiana. He has always tried to spread that happiness by telling people to "Be Happy". He is 21 years old and has medium to low functioning autism. He was born in Israel, and even though he moved to the US as a baby, he still loves Hebrew books and kids songs. His hobbies include coloring, puzzles, and going on hikes and bike rides with his family. He loves animals, fairy tales, and gluten-free French Fries. One of his favorite book series is "Things that Grow". He loves working in gardens because it gives him the chance to express his love of the outdoors and the opportunity to meet new people in the community. His favorite job is the finding and breaking of sticks. After a job done well he loves to spend his earnings at Goodwill; buying his favorite movies and books. Let's get to work! :)

General Hours Available for Scheduling

Until the end of May:

Monday: 2:00 - 5:00 pm

Tuesday: 2:00 - 5:00 pm

Wednesday: 2:00 - 4:00 pm

Thursday: unavailable

Friday: 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Payment:

  • We ask that when possible it be in cash

  • Pay what you think our work is worth!

  • If you are looking for a range people typically pay 5 - 20 for the hour of work.

What Happens When I come:

  • Jobs are weather permitting - we will confirm day of

  • I come with my caregiver - they help me stay on task

  • We ask that you provide a trash barrel, wheelbarrow, trash bag, or bucket for us to collect sticks, weeds, or other such materials

    • I will provide the rest of the things I need

  • If you are home, I will come to meet you.

  • I work typically for at least 45 minutes to an hour. Sometimes longer

  • If you have dogs, I ask that you keep them inside while I am doing work.
